Black Scoter and various bits of gullage

The Black Scoter, now in its third winter at Rossbeigh, has been unusually cooperative these past couple of weeks, often showing well at reasonable range just offshore. Several birders have finally seen it after fruitless previous attempts.

The clouds finally rolled back earlier this week, the sun shone, and there was just the faintest hint of spring in the air. The better light allowed for some nice shots of the TBWC regulars, below.
